This being my First Post would like to mention something about a problem we as a new Developers face a lot:
Let me first talk about Component Interface and then we jump into details:
In "Layman's" language Component Interface helps us upload data through the Component which means all the validations that is associated with the component. Now you might ask why do we need that.
I will say suppose you have 1000s of employees who have been recently acquired and you need their data to be uploaded in your database. The question is how will you insert these data in your system . The answer being CI.
A classic example of delivered Excel/text to CI is Mass Data Upload tool which is available in
Setup HRMS-->System Administrator-->Utilities
